In my previous blog posts I was happy to report that I retired as a 1-1 Parent after only 6 months because my twin boys (now 8 years old) reduced their opposition to me by more than 92%.
However, I must tell you that I do pick up The 1-1 Parenting Principle from time-to-time when I need to. This week I brought back "Counting Minutes" with my boys because they began to fall back into a pattern of not listening and arguing with me. Because they know what 1-1 is and that there are consequences attached to their opposition to me, they haven't really given me much of an opportunity to "Claim Minutes" so I could rest and be restored. This week I was only able to get 1 hour of time to re-energize. When I first started 1-1, I was getting 6-7 hours a week. When I claim my minutes at critical moments when my boys want to do something, they lose out on the things they really want to do. I can chose to take a nap, read a book or go out and do something I've been wanting to do. Please explore this website to better understand The Principle, The Benefits and see The Results.
